RECONDITIONED ENGINES - 2007

We have been reconditioning engines for several years, but due to increasing demand and available space in our workshop we have created an engine rebuilding area where we can build units more efficiently. To achieve a high quality product, each engine is built carefully by an experienced technician. All pistons, bearings and other parts used are guaranteed to be original equipment or quality branded.

V8 Short Motors are built by ACR Ltd. The liners are thicker and stepped to ensure they cannot slip.

ALL UNITS CARRY A 12 MONTH, 12000 MILE GUARANTEE.

A short motor consists of a machined, honed block with new liners where necessary, into which new original equipment (usually AE) pistons are fitted. The crankshaft is reground and fitted with new bearings (also OE) Timing gear is not included as this will be usually be fitted after the cylinder head. The block will be painted silver.

A stripped engine consists of a short motor, as above, with a new or reconditioned cylinder head fitted with new valves, inserts, hot spots, push rods etc. Where applicable, new timing gear and a new oil pump will also be fitted. The engine will be timed up on the bench ready for adjustment after fitting.

To include removal from vehicle, cleaning, removal and re-fitting of ancillaries, replacement into vehicle, testing and oil change after 600 miles.

Where faulty, worn or seized parts are discovered during the course of removal or refitting we will contact you with an estimate of any extra costs before continuing with the work. We will also inspect the clutch and advise if replacement is recommended.
