To achieve a high quality product, each engine is built carefully by an experienced technician in our dedicated building area. All pistons, bearings and other parts used are guaranteed to be original equipment or quality branded.
All reconditioned engines carry a 12 Month 12000 Mile Guarantee. If we have fitted the engine for you, in the unlikely event of a failure, the guarantee includes removal and re-fitting.

Short Engines
A short engine consists of a crack-tested, machined, honed block with new liners where necessary, into which new original equipment (usually AE) pistons are fitted. The crankshaft is reground and fitted with new main and big-end bearings (also OE), Timing gear is not included as this will be usually be fitted after the cylinder head. The block will be painted with silver high temperature paint. The engine number will be original and un-tampered with.
Note: A surcharge is payable until a usable block and crank of the same type has been received by ourselves. We may wish to crack test the block (3 day turnaround - no charge).

Stripped Engines
A stripped engine consists of a short engine, as above, with a new or reconditioned cylinder head fitted with new valves, inserts, hot spots, push rods etc. Where applicable, new timing gear and a new oil pump will also be fitted.
